The twins turned one on April 19th. Unfortunately, I did not get my act together and I had to gift them with the knitter's promissory note - 1 almost finished vest and 1 half finished vest. Doh! A week after their birthday, I was done with the 2nd vest, but lots of ends to weave in. Yikes:
and yes, this is only a fraction of the ends dangling. I am rethinking my whole committment to wanting to try more intarsia.
I was such a slacker (actually, distracted by knitting washcloths and dishcloths) that I did not finish the vests until yesterday...and only then, prompted by the fact that I had a dinner date with the twins' mommy!
So, early for May (late for their real birthday), I present to you blue and green for Project Spectrum's May colors.
I do have lovely oak hardwood floors, but I dare not lay the actual knitwear on them due to copious amounts of dog fur that litter the house despite the constant Swiffering. So, the classy paper bag under the vests.
The vests are knit in Cascade Fixation Bulky which are mostly cotton and then a bit of lycra. Love their stretch and nubby feel!
Pattern: my own, knit in the round, size 9 for the ribbing and size 10.5 circulars for the body.

Because I just eeked in with this entry, finishing a pink hat for
