Not knitting.

I tried to blog a few years ago and decided I just had no desire to publish random thoughts on a regular basis.  Then I picked up knitting and it's like being a born-again, you just can't shut up about your new found passion.

Anyway, until recently, I never realized how blogging made it easier to do online-research.  I'm involved in a case where data had been stored in a defunct proprietary format.  Some googling, and behold...someone blogged about the founder of the defunct company.  Now I can stalk the founder to try and track down a cracked copy of the software.  I (heart) the internet.
