So maybe it wouldn't be a good idea to start knitting something like this?
I think it just got 10 degrees hotter thinking about a hat, scarf and pullover!
This is "Gerbera" by Dale of Norway in Sisik. I was obsessed by Sisik yarn all winter and when I finally got my act together to order the damn stuff, it had been discontinued and nearly every color way I wanted had been sold out. Gack.
I persisted and found some of the blue (but seriously considered hoarding some of the red and aubergine) so I'm ready for any potential wool shortage in the world.
However, it was 82 degrees today in Palo Alto and so I think I may have to put off my Sisik knitting for a half of a year or so. The thought of having this sweater on my lap this summer is too unbearable.
I will stick to the cotton dishcloths for now. Simple, fun and much cooler for my sweaty little hands.
I get so distracted by multiple projects that I am assuming it will be cold by the time i finish the sweater I just started :)

And who knows if we'll ever get a cold spell like last winter again, but that is just a gorgeous sweater.

I never finish in the season that I start, so it doesn't occur to me that knitting a heavy sweater in summer is odd. Who am I kidding? I rarely finish in the same year I start. :)

haha, I'm like Karrie and Jae, I have to work on wooly things in the spring and summer if I have a chance at wearing them the next winter. So maybe your instincts to work with the sisik are correct!
