One little hat for Caps to the Capital, and boy do I mean little! The action kit said to make it 9 to 11 inches (mine is 11) in circumference. My son's noggin was like 14+ when he was born!!!
I'm grateful for all the good resources I had for my pregnancy, the birthing and his medical care and breastfeeding support.
Next, I joined a knitalong. Yes, it's Cookie's monkey pattern.
The beautiful Blue Moon Fiber Arts Socks That Rock lightweight in carbon dating was wound:
and then I cast on immediately. Don't laugh but I started freaking out when holes appeared. Guess I'm not used to any sort of lace.
I now understand why everyone raves about this yarn. It's soft and dense, (size 1) with a nice tight twist so I don't split it as often as I did with the Lisa Souza Sock! Additionally, the STR yarn doesn't have as much of a halo so it's showing off the pattern well.
I chose a simple stockinette for the Souza Sock, which was perfect since it came out slightly fuzzy and cozy after I washed them. Very nice soft yarn that Souza, but probably not my first choice for yarn with a fancy pattern.
