Love the fabric that STR makes and this carbon dating colorway is very me. However, it obscures the lovely Monkey pattern repeats. I think I'd like to do the pattern again with the Cherry Tree Hill solid colorway I bought at my LYS.
These photos are pre-blocking. I followed the tutorial to make sock blockers from wire hangers and now they are drying.

Your socks don't pool too badly (at least from what I can see on my monitor). They came out really great!

The lace shows up in the part that pooled better than the all over color part. That's the tough thing with lace and variegated yarn. They still look great, though!

I am knitting Monkey socks now too (using Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock) and I am getting some wicked pooling. Perhaps it is the curse of the monkey!! :)
